Elliot goes through phases and the phase at the end of last week was doing ALL his puzzles. Here is just a video!
I am married to a wonderful Christian man, Andre. I enjoy staying at home with our sons, Elliot and Nolan. Life here in Germany is great when I have my three boys at my side!

Jesus
Yesterday, Elliot and I had two wonderful conversations--they were only about 3 seconds long, but still breath-taking.
We were reading about Jesus. The Bible that we are reading from right now asked us if we wanted Jesus' friend.
Mommy: Do you want to be Jesus' friend, Elliot?
Elliot: Yes.
M: I am Jesus' friend too.
E: Papi too.
M: Yes, Papi is Jesus' friend too.
A couple of hours later, we were reading about Jesus going to heaven.
M: Do you want to go to heaven?
E: Yes.
M: Well, we both want to go to heaven.
E: Papi wants to go to heaven too.
M: Yes, Papi wants to go to heaven too.
I am SO thankful that I do not have to lie to my child about his Papi wanting to go to heaven. I can truthfully say, that yes, the father of our children wants to go to heaven too. I am so thankful I married a wonderful Christian man. A man that strives to go to heaven.

Lots of Development!
Elliot has had so much development lately. It is amazing.
Speaking--he is speaking in full sentences--crazy. I watched a video from Jan where he was just doing words!
Holding a pencil--at his last doctor's apt, the doctor told me that he should hold the pencil correctly. Well, I tried, but Elliot decided he did not want to and I was not going to force him. Within the last week, he started drawing things that looked like letters and was very concentrated, but still not holding the pencil correctly. Andre showed him again on Monday afternoon how to hold a pencil correctly, but again, "No, I don't want to." We went to the bank on Wed. morning. Guess who held the pen correctly????? Without being told????

Kind of chilly today. |
Pull-ups--about two weeks ago, we had two huge fights on getting the pull-ups on for bedtime. I mean, HUGE fights. Andre was holding on one end and I was holding on the other end. Strong little boy! Anyways, on Sunday, one of these huge fights started to ensue and Elliot said, "No pull-ups, underwear." I stopped and asked him what he wanted several times. Yes, he wanted underwear for bedtime. Well, okay. We are now wearing underwear for bedtime. And I went and bought two extra fitted sheets for his bed! I know have four fitted sheets. Think that might be enough??? So far, no accidents.

Pound, Pound, Saw, Saw
"Pound, Pound, Saw, Saw" comes from one of Elliot's children's Bibles--Noah did it on the ark and Joseph did it on a table because he was a carpenter. And that is what Elliot loves to do when he sees Papi getting out the hammer. He loves to help!
We were at Oma's on Saturday--Andre was helping build the rabbit pen. There is still some to work to do, but I think good progress was made!

So here is a look at the boys' bedroom.

Our Weekend (a little late)
Andre went to the butterfly exhibit for the last time this past weekend. He got some really pretty pictures, but I just choose two to show you what wonderful colors God has created!
On Sunday afternoon, we went down to the little ice cream place where they have a little play area for children. I will be a regular visitor in the next few months. :) I already have a good customer card--buy 10 ice cream cones and you get one free.
Sitting on the train with Elliot--I had to squeeze in there.... |

Kinderfest
Our church put on a children's festival with the help of the campaign group. It went really well and the children had fun! Andre took the pictures.
Our Bible story was the parable of the lost sheep |
Cool sheep, huh??? You can eat everything except the head. |

Package from TX!
We got a wonderful surprise yesterday afternoon. The doorbell rang and there was our package from the Harris family! There were some wonderful things in it. Elliot kept saying, "Oh, that's so sweet," meaning the nice things inside.
Elliot really likes his blanket, Aunt Amy. I took it for Baby's blanket at first, but then I realized, duh, tractors, diggers, cement trucks and I read the card! Last night, he got into bed with his blanket and said, "Look at all the squares!" We really like the fabric for both blankets!!
And the top fits perfectly! Elliot kept saying that it was so pretty. And the Reader's Digest is already in the bathroom. ;) Thanks, Janie!
And I love the book. I need to read it to Elliot today. We did not have time yesterday.
Here is the video while opening the package. Sorry for the wiggles.
And I finally got a picture of what Elliot has been doing in the past few weeks. Sticking his teddy bear under his shirt. I guess he is trying to imitate me with the baby?????
Giving it his best shot at smiling! |
Weekend
After our ice cream cone, we played ball in the park. Actually the boys played ball and I sat with my bare feet. Elliot decided that he wanted bare feet too and made Papi take off his shoes and socks too!
