Exact Things

It is amazing to me--both Elliot and Nolan have done the same things--bouncing balls and sticking their heads in the washing machine--I am sure there are going to me more things too.  Fascinating!  I wonder if girls would do the same thing...

Central European Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed the Central European Retreat.  It is 4 hours from here into Czech Republic.  There were Christians from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Austria.  The retreat location is very family friendly--which is very helpful for us.  It is just a people friendly location. :)  All ages feel comfortable there.

Both Andre and I were able to relax and that was very nice.  Relaxing not in the sense of kicking our feet up, but in the sense of not thinking about work, cleaning or cooking. We enjoyed the lessons and conversations with the other Christians.

Until next year, CER!

1st Haircut

Why, Mom, why?? Why did you cut my hair?

I'm starting to like it...

Okay!  I like it!
I had wanted to keep his hair with curls and all until his 1st birthday, but the other day someone asked me if Nolan was a girl...sigh...I didn't think his hair was that long.  And he was wearing a blue jacket.  I sure see a little Elliot with the new haircut!  I will have to do a photo comparison.

Busy Boys

Things are just busy around here.  I really don't mean that we have appointment after appointment.  I mean there is action at our place ALL THE TIME.  Nap time is down time--and boy, does this Mommy needs it.

Nolan stood by himself for about 5 seconds today!!

Second time picking--he had so much fun!!

Catching Up

We have had a pretty busy week--doctor's appointments, Bible class, other appointments, play dates, etc.  We went to Elliot's Kindergarten (that is what we call it here--kind of like pre-school) this week.  Elliot really had a lot of fun.  I am not allowed to take pictures though, so can't share any of those experiences.

We went back to the nice playground--we just had to show Papi! :)

Superglued

Well, I hope this is not the first of many, but...

I am really trying to run with Elliot when we are outside--he needs to get rid of energy.  We had finished running and he wanted to climb a tree.  We were on the last time and he fell down--flat on his tummy.  Through the tears he was able to tell me that his chin hurt and after closer inspection, I realized it wasn't just a scratch.  It has split open.  Checking my watch, I realized that the doctor's office was still open and I thought I had better stop by.  They fixed him right up in no time--he didn't cry and was very brave the whole way through.  Glad we could get to the doctor's so quickly.  It was just a 10 minute walk from the park.  I wouldn't have been able to hold the wound together with just a band aid.  He would have had a bad scar if we couldn't have got medical attention.

Sharing

Nolan sure does like playing with Elliot's toys.  Elliot sure doesn't like that.  It is hard to share.

He got his truck to safety!

Papi made this really cool house.  It didn't last too long because of pudgy little hands. :)

And Nolan like to take Legos apart!

New Playground

Someone told us about a cool playground that is not too far from us.  Elliot loved it!  The digger is a little heavy for him, but that did not matter--he worked hard!

Sports with the Church and 11 Months

Elliot just loves going to the sport activity with the church.  He just runs and runs and runs.  I couldn't get any pictures--he was just moving too much.  Videos will have to do. :)

Nolan's kind of sport right now.  Standing up at the bench and trying to climb on Papi.  And this was an outfit that Elliot wore at 18 months!

And Nolan turned 11 months old on Monday.  Hard to believe.  And he got a hold of Papi's ice cream and DID NOT LET GO.  Into the mouth it went.

Nolan and I

I tried to get some pictures of Nolan and I this morning.

Trying to get a picture of his two teeth.

His standing skills are getting better every day!

Nolan just loves food.  LOVES it.
