Easter

My Beanie

I have been jealous of the boys hats for some time now...they look like this.  We have several like this for the boys in case one gets lost.  They are great. 

 

 

 

 Anyways, I have been wanting something similar for a while now because when the wind blows, my ears do NOT like it.  They start to hurt and I immediately think ear infection.  Well, today, I had had enough.  It was windy, my ears hurt and continued hurting for about an hour after we got inside.  It was a nice day so I didn't have my thick winter beanie.  Well, I decided I would sew one.  The one I choose was promised to be done in 10 minutes....yeah, right.  But I still got it done.  It took about an hour with cutting out, threading my needle numerous time, putting more thread on the bobbin, etc.  You know how a sewing project goes.  Here is the link that I used.  I had to do it a little differently since I was using one of Andre's old t-shirts--shhhhhh--don't tell him! 

 

It's make me have flat hair, but that is better than an ear infection!

Trip to the Chemnitz Zoo

We took our first trip to the Chemnitz Zoo the other day!  It was really nice--there were a lot of other people there too, but it wasn't too full. :)

It is so nice--the boys are starting to really play with each other!  It makes me so happy!  There are days that are full of fights, but once and a while we have a good day!

We were just itching to plant!  We planted zinnias, sunflowers and more zinnias!

The boys really love yogurt--Papi got them some special heart yogurt around Valentine's Day and they loved it...

Nolan is talking, but not full sentences. It is so fun to listen to him though--there is so much thought behind what he says--you can tell his little brain is working! Elliot was really sick a few weeks ago and didn't say much all day.  Nolan on the other hand didn't stop talking!  Well, maybe it was just what I thought--since Elliot is usually also talking a mile a minute, Nolan's words kind of get lost.  It was just really interesting for me to hear only Nolan--he had so much to say even though there were no sentences.  He looked and me and said church? No, we don't have church today. Ja, church. No, it's Saturday. Nee, Saturday, church.  :)
