Things started opening up here in May and for our 17th anniversary, we decided to go out! McDonalds! We all got some ice cream. It was a great treat for us! You still could not sit in the restaurant, but we just enjoyed the fresh air outside eating our ice cream!

Playgrounds opened up!! Yeah! 

One fun craft that we started doing was making owls out of tin cans, bottle caps and lids! The boys really enjoyed doing it and we have done it many times since. I think we have five sitting on the window sill needing to be given to someone. :)

We took a drive to the Wildgatter here in Chemnitz. That is a kind of zoo. No exotic animals, just animals that you would find around here in the forest. It's a really pretty place. The boys were so excited to see a real live wolf! :)

March Part 3

The boys are starting to get crazy. They have time to play! They have been dragging their comfortors around making nice little nests everywhere they go. They have also discovered they can run around in their underwear. I try to keep them clothed, but I'm not doing a good job of that! Ha!

I have been working on this jeans quilt for about three years now. Three years. I finally got it all sewn together and clipped the edges. I took it to the laundromat, washed and dried it. I think it turned out pretty good. It's very heavy and sturdy. I would enjoy making another one but with bigger squares! The little squares were quite tedious! 

  

We have found a forest not too far from us. We have been going there about three years now. This was one of our first times this year and they had cut down some trees. We got a beautiful view of the Augustusburg--a fortress in our area. Really pretty!

Blueberries

We headed out to the woods a couple of weeks ago and found blueberries!  We sure found and ate a lot! 

 

The Mushroom Hunt

We found a nice forest not too far from us.  We love going and tramping around.  We don't really eat mushrooms, but it is fun to find them.  We do bring them home and I try to do something with them!

Andre's Zoo Park Pictures

Andre took a ton of pictures on Saturday at the Chomutov Zoopark.  Chomutov is right across the border into Czech Republic.  I just selected a few of the animal ones.  I will post some of them with people in it later!
