Decor for Church

I am always looking for ideas for decorations at church.  We have such nice windows in the children's Bible class room and everyone walks by there and see them.  They look pretty bare when nothing is in them.  I had done one egg carton craft before and really enjoyed doing it, so I decided to do another one, just a little different. I tried to do the colors of the rainbow--with help from my mom, I was able to get it done!

Good Times with Good People

We have had some great visits lately!  We are so thankful for our Christian family far and near. Annalisa doesn't live too far from us and we were happy to spend some time with her!

Annalisa came for a visit!!

The Everharts were in town and it was so nice to catch up with them.  The children were able to be in Bible class together and then we got to play on the playground for awhile.

An Enjoyable Sunday

Most of our Sundays are enjoyable, I just had my camera read on this particular Sunday!  I took the camera to church and got some good pictures of our boys!  And I took a video of Nolan while we were singing a song.  He knows the motions and really has fun!

We took the boys out with their bikes.  Elliot tried out Nolan's balance bike again and did very well.

Great Conversation, Bad Timing

Elliot and I had a great conversation.  I just wish it had been at a time when I could have answered more thoroughly.  But isn't that how it goes with kids???  They has the important questions and the moment last about one minute--you just do the best you can.

We were at church.  Andre was speaking to prepare our brothers and sisters for the Lord's Supper.  I was holding Nolan trying to prevent a rodeo.  Elliot sitting/standing next to me.

Elliot:  Can I drink out of one of those little cups?
Mommy: No.
E:  Why not?
M:  You have to believe in God.
E:  I believe God.  (I had to smile.)
M:  Yes, I know, but you have to be baptized.
E: What is baptized?
M:  That is something for when you are older.
E:  I am old.
M:  Really old.
About two seconds later.
E: I have to go potty.  (Andre is praying at that point.)

End of moment.

I just gave it my best shot.  Why couldn't we have this conversation at home sitting on the couch? It would have been so much better. I had to whisper, folks.  Try to have a great conversation WHISPERING.  Sigh.  Like I said, bad timing.  Maybe next time will be better.  Right?????

Jesus Loves Me

At our senior citizens' dinner at church, I talked the boys in my Bible school class into singing Jesus Loves Me.  I was so proud!!  They did sign language for the chorus.
